Located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe adjacent to Homewood Mountain Resort, this lakeside gem has it all: ambiance, great food, service, and a romantic atmosphere you'll never want to leave.
Enter into the soaring "Old Tahoe" style great room and head straight out to stairs that promenade down to an outdoor dining area. A wide open deck with breathtaking views out to the Lake and the mountain ranges welcomes you. Dining tables continue from the deck to down the dock. There is no other restaurant where you will experience the atmosphere of the deep blue Tahoe waters surrounding your dinner table quite like this.
Chef Kristi Ritchey gathers her fresh seasonal ingredients from the Sacramento farmer’s market daily to create mouth-watering menu options. The seared scallops are fat, juicy and caramelized, sitting pretty on an orange carrot jus and topped with thinly shaved fried carrots and peas. Continue with the rack of lamb as each bite melts in your mouth. Don’t leave without trying a delicious interpretation of a childhood favorite- the Kit Kat bar served with vanilla peanut butter ice cream.
The summer is filled with fun and lively energy in the restaurant. Live music on the weekends, marshmallow roasting at the end of the dock on week nights, movies on the lawn on Tuesdays and Painted Vine art classes on Wednesdays are all on the schedule every week.
Stay for dinner, the night or for a week. Just above the restaurant are 5 guest rooms and suites. The West Shore Café is a complete sensory experience that you will not want to miss on Lake Tahoe!
