First Tracks with Northstar Ski Patrol
Ski patrollers have a very important job at the Sierra ski resorts. They get up before dawn to get the ski area open and keep it safe, as well as respond to emergencies 24/7 in the backcountry. They will risk very real danger but giving back, helping others, and experiencing the mountains are the forces that keep them working hard.
The ultimate reward for a ski patroller is the chance for first tracks in the morning whether on an epic powder day or ripping down groomers before the lifts open to the public. The ski patrol team truly does deserve this perk with days that start before the sun is up and end after sunset. Now, at Northstar, you too could jump on board and join the Patrol team at 7:30am for some of your own first tracks. Call the day before by 3pm to sign up.

One can also participate in the final patrol sweep at the end of the day by meeting at the Summit Patrol shack located at the top of Comstock lift at 3:30pm.
Join in the fun and discover another way to truly enjoy your Northstar experience.
