The ski resorts are anxious to open and are looking for storms and cold temps to blow snow. Boreal is usually the first to open and with new snow on the summit, it could be any day now. The other resorts will follow as conditions permit. Below is a list of projected opening dates.

Sugar Bowl
Opening Day: On or Before December 10, 2016

Heavenly Lake Tahoe
Opening Day: November 18, 2016

Diamond Peak
Opening Day: December 15, 2016

Mount Rose
Opening Day: As Soon As Possible

Kirkwood
Opening Day: November 18, 2016

The first day of November greeted us with a fresh blanket of snow. In anticipation of the amazing winter that is to come, now is the time to make sure all your equipment is updated and ready for when the big storm hits and the resorts open.

Get geared up and find the best deals at this year’s Truckee Ski and Snowboard Swap located at the Community Recreation Center at the corner of HWY 80 and HWY 89 on Saturday, November 5th. The Tahoe community thrives on mountain adventure and winter sports. There is sure to be a wide variety of new and used equipment, accessories and clothing at this sale.
