Halloween Happenings
This past weekend was the Truckee elementary pumpkin patch. On a cold wet day, everything was moved inside for an excited crowd. Games, kids, bounce houses, cake walks and haunted houses were around every corner, it was a blast. The weekend before, Tahoe Donner had their annual Fall Festival with a pumpkin patch, pony rides, live music, and family fun.
The Halloween fun will continue this weekend at Old Greenwood with their Annual Harvest Party. As a Tahoe Mountain Club Member, kids will enjoy a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, pony rides, games, a mad scientist, pumpkin carving and more. TMC members join in this Saturday from 12pm – 2:30pm.
If you are looking for a fun and an authentic pumpkin patch experience on a farm, pack up the kids and drive up north to Lil’ Megs Pumpkin Patch in Beckwourth CA. This charming property is just past Sierraville and perfect for the entire family. Featuring a corn maze, amazing fresh home baked goods, games and pumpkins of all sizes, it’s the perfect place to spend a weekend afternoon. The drive should be beautiful and full of fall colors, you will not be disappointed. Open every weekend in October 10am – 4pm.
