Bigtruck is a company that started in 2010 by
home grown Tahoe native, Galen Gifford. It started as a hobby but turned
into a career. Where there is passion, there is success for this local
company. Founded on the belief that fun brings us together and doing what
we love contributes to our greatest achievements; #FunFirst is now infused in
everything bigtruck stands for. The recipe is working, because now
in stores all over the country you will find unique trucker hats adorned with
bigtruck's playful dump truck logo. The brand is steadily becoming an
icon in the realm of extreme sports, with professional athletes in everything
from skiing to Nascar wearing their bigtruck hats in front of a national
audience. Here in Tahoe we like to support this local company and wear
the hats proudly. The latest hat badge is the new Truckee logo as part of
the Truckee Base Camp Collection.
The company has grown exponentially, but they are
still based here in Truckee. However, with growth comes more employees
and the need for more space. Bigtruck has moved and are ready to showcase
their new space. This Thursday, December 15th from 5pm to 8pm bigtruck
will be hosting their official grand opening of the new space locoed in the
Pioneer Center in Truckee. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mayor
Morgan Goodwin will begin promptly at 5pm followed by an open house. Come
out to support this phenomenal local company and enjoy refreshments and special
holiday offers on products and prizes.
