Lets talk snow. Here I sit in yet another blizzard that is dropping another foot on the Tahoe area and from the view out the window you would think it was the middle of February. My husband went skiing at Squaw yesterday afternoon at 2:30 and got fresh powder tracks up past his knees off of Red Dog.
I have lived in the mountains in Colorado and Tahoe for my whole life and have never seen a November like this!
Even Ski Magazine has taken note of our amazing snow fortune...

What are the resort season totals so far? (Mind you they have been open for just a couple of days...)
Squaw is reporting 108 inches and that will go up after the storm we are in right now.
Northstar is reporting 79 inches.
Some other local resorts have not even opened yet.
No time to get those legs shape, you just have to get out there and ski or ride!
Have a great Thanksgiving holiday.

Huge storm on the way!
We are gearing up for our first big storm of the season that is heading in today. The weather service is calling for anywhere from 3-6 feet of snow! Quite a way to start off the ski season with Northstar opening today and Squaw Valley opening tomorrow. This will be the most snow that we have had in November in a long time.

1st Snow in Tahoe!
We had our first significant snow at Northstar and Squaw last night! Several inches of snow fell and the mountains are covered top to bottom.
Squaw is reporting 6-8 inches over 8200 feet.
Northstar has set their opening date for November 20th.
Squaw is set to open on November 20th as well.
Hope you have your season passes, lodging, and equipment ready to go because winter is just around the corner.
If you are looking for a great deal on a condo, let me know because there are a handful of amazing opportunities out there right now.
