Days of Powder are here....

It may seem like all I talk about lately is snow. Well, that is because all it has been doing lately is snowing. Which = talking about snow all of the time. It consumes your life because it takes forever to get anywhere, you have to dig out of your house in the morning and several times at night, and, of course, you have to ski as much as possible. It is a lot of work! This photo was taken yesterday afternoon on 89 right by Squaw.....lots of snow.....

Storm totals in the past week were between 6 and 7 feet for most of the resorts. That is pretty amazing. My friends and clients have been texting me non stop to find out what the latest news is.
We are hearing that more is on the way next week. It has been a good January. Hope you can enjoy some of the "white gold" that we have been so lucky to get.

Some great stats from the holidays-Big snow on the way

The holiday season has come and gone. It all seems like a blur to me, but I hope that everyone had a blast....

The REALLY big news is the chain of snow storms coming towards us. I am looking out my window today (see photo) and all I see are huge fluffy balls of snow pouring out of the sky. It is DUMPING snow. I am so excited to wake up at the crack of dawn tomorrow, shovel myself out of my house and go ski! Supposedly we are going to get 4-6 feet of snow this week, maybe more. This is the kind of weather that we have been waiting for. This is when the Legendary Tahoe Storm Tales are created that will be told for years and years...I can hear it now..."Remember the storm in January of 2010????" I hope that everyone who needed to go home after the MLK weekend got out, and I hope that everyone who got stuck is happy to get some extra ski days.....Photos to follow.

Back to some real estate news.....I heard some pretty incredible stats from the Christmas/New Years holiday weeks. In our (Tahoe Mountain Resorts RE) three offices at Northstar, we saw 337 groups of people in 2 weeks. It is amazing to me that so many people took time out of their holiday plans to look at real estate. Northstar broke all of their records for skier visits and retail sales in every single shop and restaurant in the Village. Some good news is nice when most of what we hear on TV is just gloom and doom.

It sounds to me like Northstar is the place to be!

Skiing in the fog at Squaw

I took these photos yesterday skiing at Squaw. The conditions were great and the fog was very cool...

Enjoy! Happy New Year!
