Aerial Tram Ride at Squaw Valley

Aerial Tram Ride at Squaw Valley

Looking for something fun to do with the whole family or maybe while the others are off skiing for the day?  Take the tram up to High Camp that sits high above the Village at Squaw Valley.  Board the tram in the Village at the base of the mountain.  Right away you will be taken back as you pull out of the loading station and head straight up the mountain over a massive rock wall called "Tram Face" into a world that will remind you of
Disneyland.  As the tram driver takes you back through the deep Squaw Valley history on the way up, you will be amazed at how high you are hanging over it all.

About 10 minutes later you are at High Camp, 2,000 feet higher than where you started sitting at 8,200 feet with panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and the entire Squaw Valley mountain.

Take your time and enjoy all the activities that are offered at High Camp.  Ice Skating, swimming, restaurants, and my favorite, the self guided Olympic museum with memorabilia from the 1960 Winter Olympics.

Enjoy the ride down dropping you back to the Village at Squaw Valley.  If you still have time, enjoy all the shopping and eateries throughout the Village.  My favorite spot is the Wild Flower Cookie shop or the KT-22 Base Bar on a sunny day.
