Big Truck Day

One of the best days of the year for young boys and girls is coming up this weekend.  The highly anticipated 8th Annual Big Truck Day is taking over the Town Corp Yard located off of Donner Pass Road, just north of downtown on Stockrest Springs Road. The town has gathered a fleet of large machinery for the event including a plow, groomer, crane, school bus, fire engine, police car, helicopter, ambulance, digger, dump truck, police car and much more.  Kids get the chance to get up close, sit in the drivers seat, honk horns, pull levers and learn all about these large working machines.

Make sure the kids wear clothes that can get dirty, because they won't want to miss the giant sand hill that is in one of the huge garages. Kids can spend hours climbing up and rolling down this massive pile of fun.

The Truckee Lions Club is providing a BBQ lunch, a bake sale full of delicious treats and music by local bands.  Smokey the Bear will also be on site for photos, high fives, handshakes and fire prevention tips. Big Truck Day is an event that the kids look forward to all year, hope to see you there.
