Fourth Of July Weekend 2016


Happy 4th of July


Independence Day has always been a well celebrated tradition in the Tahoe-Truckee area filled with lasting memories.  There is something special and charming about these small mountain towns all around the Lake that brings out the best in everyone.  Come join the locals and celebrate the July 4th with fireworks, beach parties, parades, beer festivals, fun runs, pancake breakfasts and more.  With weather projected to be in the high 80’s, the day should be enjoyed outside.



Beerfest and Bluegrass Festival Saturday, July 2nd 3pm – 6:30pm Beer tastings from over 25 breweries and 2 premier bluegrass bands in the Village at Northstar.  Non-alcholic beverages and a tasty barbecue is available along with games on in the heart of the Village for the whole family to enjoy. 




Luxury Home Preview Tour Sunday, July 310am – 4pm Take a tour of some of the best real estate offerings within the exclusive resort communities of Mountainside at Northstar, Northstar, Lahontan, Gray’s Crossing, Old Greenwood and a Tahoe lakefront estate.  



Kings Beach FireworksSunday, July 3rd9:30pm Get there early as the fun will start with food vendors, a beer garden, free watermelon eating, sand castle building, patriotic costume contest, games, music and live entertainment.

Truckee Monday, July 4th9:40am This fun run that is full of costume, competition and family troller walking takes place along the Truckee Parade route on Donner Pass Road and ends in historic Truckee.  Runners are cheered on my thousands of parade spectators.

Truckee's 4th of July ParadeMonday, July 4th10am – 12pm The parade starts at the west end of town near the high school and continues 1 1/4 miles down Donner Pass Road into historic Truckee.  This years theme is "Truckee – Base Camp for a Big Life" in recognition of Truckee’s new brand.  With floats, cars, fire engines, music, dancing, performances and more, this is the epitome of a true hometown parade.


4th of July at West End Beach and Truckee 4th of July Fireworks Monday, July 4thAll day with fireworks at duskHow about a Donner Lake beach day with games, live music, a barbecue topped off with evening fireworks?  The fireworks can be seen from any location around Donner Lake or from above if you drive up Old Highway 40 or to the Glacier Trail in Tahoe Donner.  Donner Lake is a great place to spend the day and beat the heat.

July 4th Funky Beach Bash & Fireworks at Tahoe City 
Monday, July 4th 10am – DarkThe festivities will begin as a fun family beach day at Commons Beach including music with Kip Yager, a beer garden and other food and drink options. Fireworks begin at dark.


Red, White, and Tahoe Blue Incline Village Saturday July 1st – 4th 9:30am – 10pm 45+ Events in Incline Village and Crystal Bay to include the parade, concerts, Veterans Tribute, Rubber Ducky Races, Wine & Cheese, Beer & Brats, Community Fair, Ice Cream Social, Chalk Drawing for kids, fireworks & more!
